Computer Habits You Should Avoid

1. Never restarting your computer

People often ignore the little pop-ups that appear in the corner of their desktop screens. "The little things" as they are so called. Well, you might be surprised that for every other time your computer crashed, buffered of even froze it was because of something as minuscule as that little pop up in your window. Computers in this way, are like us. They need time to refresh and start over if they are ever going to do their work more effectively. If it runs for pretty much 16 hours a day and crashes 3 or 4 times in, it's not the time to start cursing out the manufacturer but rather the time to switch it off and call it in for the day.

2. Not Backing Up Data

Whilst some may cry out that they don't have enough access to Wi-Fi, it is important to take the time at least once a week to keep your data in a place where you know it will never get lost. If you can find access to an internet connection, try making it every day. If either of these two options is a non-starter then you might want to consider getting a hard drive. That way if your computer gets stolen, broken or formatted (somehow)you won't cry foul and still be able to recover all your precious information. Just don't lose the hard drive.

3. Using your keyboard as a plate

A lot of people run a tight schedule and it's basically a common to have a snack or your morning coffee whilst scrolling through your emails. You might get away with it a lot of the times but what you might not realize is that that's how many people end up spending half a fortune trying to get their computers to work again. If possible try and something else, anything rather. It's how computers live for a long time.

4. Using One Password For Everything
It might not seem like such a big issue now but later it might come in pretty handy. That's how hackers often get the best of a lot of people – by cracking your Farmville password and later discovering it's the password to your email and bank account. Of course having one password as the master key to all your accounts may seem like a lot of fun now but in the long run, it just proves it's better to be safe than sorry. Of course, you can't have a different password for all your accounts but having a few more goes a long way to keeping yourself safe

5. Running too many programs at once. If you are one of those people with probably a million tabs open right now, this is the perfect habit for you. I know that at times it's fun to multitask but this is one of the few things that keep your computer running for a long time.
